The Town Clerk’s Office comes in contact with thousands of Waterford residents and visitors annually. It is our goal to make your visit as pleasant and efficient as possible. We have made many forms available electronically for your convenience and we are always looking for ways to improve our service.
The Town Clerk is responsible for the Preparation of minutes of Town Board meetings, Maintaining Town Records, Vital Records, Legal Notices, processing Freedom of Information Requests and issuing Certificates of Residency. The Town Clerk issues many New York State licenses and permits including Marriage, Disabled Parking, Dog, Hunting and Fishing, Peddlers, and Games of Chance/Bell Jar.
The Waterford Town Clerk also serves as the Town Tax Collector and offers Notarial services.
